The GILE Debate
A growing number of teachers worldwide are utilizing content that addresses global issues related to peace, the environment, and economic justice, among other topics. These educators see language edcuation as a chance to make students aware of unfortunate global realities and potential solutions. At the same time, some GILE activities and approaches have come under criticism for a variety of reasons.
